One week after, almost, the dress is hanging in the wardobe again like all the other items who belonging to the medievial days.
On monday I was back to the office of the middel age week and became the proud owner of a modern medieval key.

It is not big you could open a bag with it. But it is a thank you for the help by selling tickets, and that's what is importand.
For now there is just the memories and to look foreward to the next years week. And learn everything I can on the way. Valle

Now everithing is over. I was not by the banket because I did not have anyone help me to come home in god time. and it rained. But I was on the market and found some shoes to have inside and not getting cold feet. And the two limonmades I usely buy. I also made some pictures for you to see the life an the market.

A lot of german sellers are in Visby during the week. They have fun because they can sell and have vacation at the same time.

Different kind of ointments.

Who could resist this nice smile. I guess he had a lot of customers for his knives. I bought one last year. I like to work with wood.

Try if you have skills with the Robin Hood vapon. She was god.

But for this year its over. See you next year again. Sellers on the way to there car.

It's sutterday now and the weather is not funny at all. I liked to come to the city yesterday to make some pictures but no. Today, no just rain. So I can not give you more info. Sad. Valle.

Tuesday became a long day. A friend of mine and I went in to the city. We had to sell tickets. But before that I helped to stop people to go in the picture of a movie. It was a stormy day and some young where angry because they could not go and swimming. If you ask me, it made have saved there lifes. The waves where very big and thats what they wonted. But the night before there where storm on the east coast of Sweden and the same wind stoped some tours of our ferry.
Ok but later on we sold tickets in front of a ruine. After that we ate in kapitelhusgården a very god chees and bread plate.
The mainthing happend when we where at the Nicolai ruine where we had to take the tickets and then could see the show.
After all the small devills where gone some jesters came and presented some very god and some not so god small shows in the big show. Special the fire show was very god. A munk telling stories of Visby and Gotland was god and the parodies where god to.
All in all we came home in the middle of the night att one.

Monday was quiet here. I was at home all day long and it was god because the weather wasn't, god will say.

As Tjorven allready told you I went back in time again. And now I also have some pictures from the opening.
It started with Indiana Jones climbing up the wall.

He freed a lady who then told what happend in the year 1984. This is the year the Midieval week had its start. And since then it growed to the biggest one in Europe.

A girl svang in the air taking everiones breath.....

While the music was playing happely.

The jesters amused the audience and guards began to guard the wall.

The fanfar i playing....

and finaly the mayors came and announced a happy day because the danish king is coming and we will make him fell welcome.
Its just that the welcoming soundet more like Boooohhhhh!!!!!

Then the parade to the market place started.

And everyone was envited to enjoy.

This was sunday.

Salve means hallo and it is so people said a couple of hundred years ago. Now today they turned the time back again and now we live like then again.
With some of the nice things from our time of course like cell phone and cars and computers. But it is fun once in the year to step backwards and think about the history which made this island so speciall. Also to think about the life then and feel bleesed with the gifts of the last century.
The folloing week will stay in the sign of the middle ages. And I like to be your guide. Valle (that means by by)
